Qualifications and Background
Richard B. Kell earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and became licensed to practice law in Massachusetts in December, 2009. Before law school, Richard served as an intern for the Baldwin County, GA District Attorney’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office. He also worked as a paralegal for Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C., a personal injury law firm in Macon, GA. During law school, Richard served as a law clerk at the firm of Schram, Behan & Behan in Okemos, MI, where he gained valuable experience in the areas of estate planning, consumer protection, and business law. Richard’s current practice is concentrated in family law and estate planning matters.
Professional Affiliations and Community Involvement
Richard B. Kell is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Associations, and the Lawrence Bar Association. In addition to his private law practice, Richard periodically volunteers for the Lawyer of the Day Program at the Essex County Probate & Family Court.
